Description: This is the largest mountain bike stage race in the world taking place over 8 stages. The race runs over 8 days and covers 800 kms and winds its way through some of the most beautiful scenery that the Western Cape has to offer, while over 16 000m of the route is over spectacular mountain passes. The race is done in teams of two and the teams stay together the entire race.

Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon

Description : This annual event draws people from around the world to participate. The ultra-marathon is 56 km and starts in Newlands goes along Chapmans Peak, Hout Bay and Constantia Nek before ending at the UCT campus. The more timid athletes trot the equally popular 21km half marathon route following the length of Southern Cross Drive.

This event is not to be missed and the crowds gather all along the route to support the runners.
